About the project
Almost ten years ago, Moréias was born from a commitment: to protect one of the most beautiful stretches of the Brazilian coast and to bring together around it people who share the same way of living. It is being developed as a community, with its social purpose established before the homes themselves: the team is local, with 100% of the staff employed even in the low season, and Instituto Moréias welcomes around 70 children a week.
An off-grid estate
There are no paved roads or walls. The streets are sand, the fencing is made of local timber and the native landscaping dissolves the boundaries between one plot and another. Moréias generates its own solar energy, draws and treats its own water from artesian wells and manages its own waste, with these systems incorporated into the masterplan from the outset.
What the estate offers
Kitesurfing in one of the best regions in the world, with a school run by Guilly Brandão, a three-time world champion, and twenty kilometres of continuous coastline. Restaurante Orós, by Belgian chef Hervé Witmeur, with the weekly Jantar do Cajueiro under the century-old tree. Trails of more than 50 km opened by Shubi Guimarães, horse rides, walks across the dunes, birdwatching with more than a hundred catalogued species, canoeing on the Rio Coreaú and night-sky observation.
Three ways to join
Morada Barlavento brings together 27 plots of 1,503 to 2,890 m² for custom-designed homes. Vilarejo Barlavento has twelve ready-built single-storey houses, all with two suites, inspired by Vila São Mateus. Estâncias do Vento offers large oceanfront plots, from 8,000 m², protected by a coral barrier.
